Terms and conditions
Updated 2 October 2026
1. Using the service
You can check your IP and run tests without an account. Tests start only when you initiate them. Respect usage limits; do not generate abusive traffic or interfere with other users.
2. Limits of results
Measurements are indicative and depend on the device, network and route to the server. Latency uses HTTP requests, not ICMP ping. Speed tests may transfer up to 64 MiB (16 MiB / 32 MiB / 64 MiB) plus headers and use your data allowance. Country and region are approximate; we do not collect precise location.
HTTP latency, not ICMP ping. Failed requests are not equivalent to packet loss.
3. Test destination
The test runs to and from our servers. With a proxy/CDN, results include that path. They do not represent the whole internet.
4. Availability and changes
This is a free information tool, without a guarantee of continuous availability or contracted speed. It may be limited or suspended for maintenance, security or abuse prevention. Results do not replace an operator diagnosis or constitute certification. These terms may be updated; the date identifies the current version. Rights and liabilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded remain unaffected.
5. Data, purposes and legal basis
An IP address may be personal data. It is processed to answer requests, show the connection and identify the network. Tests process response times, failed requests, transfer volumes and speeds. Requested functions rely on performance of the requested service; abuse prevention and security rely on the legitimate interest in keeping the service available and protected. Language counts are aggregated. We do not create commercial profiles, make automated decisions with legal effects or sell data. We do not collect precise location or store upload-test content.
6. External sources
Automatic identification uses server-installed DB-IP Lite databases without sending your IP to that source. If you choose “Look up network”, your IP is sent to RIPE NCC; public network data is cached for one day.
The organization may be a VPN or hosting provider. Location is approximate and depends on the data source.
Looking up sends your IP to RIPE NCC to identify the network. It is not stored in our test records.
7. What is stored
Technical results are kept for 30 days and daily language counts for 365 days. Technical results do not contain your full IP. Temporary limits use an IP-derived pseudonymous identifier removed after expiry. Your IP is processed to answer requests; web-server logs may contain IPs according to server configuration.
8. Language and session
Your language choice stays in browser local storage. We use no tracking or advertising cookies. Clear local site data in your browser to reset this preference.
9. Rights and privacy contact
Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and, where applicable, portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier processing. We normally respond within one month, subject to statutory extensions. We may request only information needed to verify identity; unlinked results may not identify a person. You may complain to CNPD. Do not send passwords or tokens by email.
